Campus Partners
At Western we have created the Jewish Community Coalition which serves to bring together all groups with a vested interest in Jewish life or Israel interests on campus. Together the partnerships on campus have helped to create our vibrant and diverse Jewish community at Western. Coalition members include: Western Hillel, Israel on Campus, Chabad of Western, Canadian Federation of Jewish Students, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Pi Lambda Phi, Alpha Omega, The Jewish Law Students Association, The Jewish Medical School Association, The Jewish Business Network, Canadian Young Judea, CIE Birthright Israel, and MASA
Chabad
Chabad House acts as a home away from home for Jewish students and faculty at Western. Chabad’s doors are always open, especially on Friday Nights and it is the perfect place to celebrate Shabbat with a free Shabbat dinner. Chabad House is run by Rabbi Mordechai Silberberg and his wife Nechamie.

AEPi
Alpha Epsilon Pi is the International Jewish Fraternity, with active chapters on over 140 campuses in the US, Canada and Israel. AEPi’s basic purpose is to provide the opportunity for a Jewish man to be able to join a Jewish organization whose purpose is not specifically religious, but rather social and cultural in nature. The fraternity was founded to provide opportunities for Jewish men seeking the best possible university and fraternity experience. The Lambda Omega Chapter at the University of Western Ontario is the first AEPi chapter in Canada, entering its 26th year of operation and has over 100 active members.
Pi Lam
Pi Lambda Phi, or Pi Lam as it is known, is a fraternity on the UWO campus founded in 1895. Until the end of the Second World War, Pi Lam was not exclusively a Jewish fraternity. Pi Lam is a non sectarian fraternity, in which all men, regardless of race, or religion, may become brothers. At Western, there is a very high number of Jewish brothers. LINK

Though not a Jewish fraternity, Alpha Omega enjoys strong ties with the State of Israel, including being responsible for the creation of both dental schools in Israel, at The Hebrew University- Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, and the Tel Aviv University Maurice and Gabriela GoldSchleger School of Dental Medicine. www.ao.org

Ivey Israel Trip
The Ivey Israel Trip is a one-of-a-kind educational experience offered to Richard Ivey Business School students. The Richard Ivey Business School is part of the University of Western Ontario. This 10 day trip to Israel is available to a select group of Ivey students. The overall goal is to create a partnership between Israeli companies and Ivey business students. Students stay at high class hotels and engage in some touring of Israel, however the focus will remain on business. Other goals include:
- Showing future business leaders a different side of Israel – its thriving economy and positive contributions to the world;
- Encouraging future investment in Israel by educating the students about the Israeli economy, corporate success stories, and future investment opportunities; and
- Educating Israeli companies about Ivey and its students, and to encourage them to offer summer or full time positions to the students.
